Hard to let go.
You broke up over a week ago, you know it was for the best but
you still can't stop thinking about him. You can't
stop thinking about all the great times and the bad ones.
You miss the looks and touches. After two years of nightly
contact, you now find yourself set adrift with nothing
to do. You always knew that you loved him more than he loved
you. You promised yourself you wouldn't call him and
you haven't, yet you know deep down inside if he calls
you'd be there in a heartbeat. How do you let go of what
you thought was the love of your life? Day by day. Everyday
is a good day, some days are just better than others. You
and he both existed before you met and you both will exist
afterwards. It's not easy but time waits for no one.
Everyday that goes by you get a little stronger, but no doubt
this will take time and effort on your part. Remember one
thing - You chose to love, he didn't. You really can't
fault him for that. And it's really true, you can't
make someone love you either they do or they don't.
Just make sure you're both upfront and honest from
the start.
